Moving Day

As I walked into my almost empty apartment, I looked around, taking note of the worn out and spoilt items which I planned to leave behind.

I got to the inner parlor and sat on one of the sofas.

“So I’m really leaving this place I once called home.” I said to myself, as I rubbed the arm of the sofa.

I looked around and my eyes landed on my Prada bag I was so into last year. Looking at it now, it looks meaningless, dead and worn out.

It’s finally moving day, where I leave old things behind and start making new memories in a better place, a new home.

And then it came to me, I decided to move, the day I gave my life to Him. I moved out of that old place–the world and it’s vain glory, and moved into a new home with Christ.

If you’re moving out of an old apartment, the worn out and old things will definitely not move with you. You leave old things behind and enter into a new place, a new life and a new beginning.

You get new neighbors in an entirely different environment. You end a whole chapter of your life and begin a new story.

That’s exactly what I did six months ago, on the 29th. I decided it was my moving day. I left my old lifestyles, old habits and decided to open up a new chapter with Him, a new life.

The things you normally did, the people you hanged out with and how you lived your life, may all have to change. If you keep holding on to the old and worn out things in your past life, then you haven’t fully packed out yet.

Don’t be scared to let go of the old house you once lived in.

Don’t let the regrets of your old ways keep you from living your fullest in your new found life in Him.

Because, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

This day six months ago was my moving day and I still don’t regret it till date!

Happy Six-Months Anniversary to me and Him

I’m sorry if you didn’t understand the message in this post but it’s currently 11:29pm and I managed to express my thoughts in the best way I could, despite the stress I’ve been through all day.

I still ensured that I posted this, can’t dare to miss an episode in this series.

So thank you for reading, I’ll see you on my next blog post.

Stay safe!
