He Still Cared

2020 has been a hectic year indeed. And despite everything, He still kept me and you till the last month. I’ve decided to share a short piece I wrote, to end the 29th Series for this year.

I ran away from His presence,

still He chased after me.

I shut my door against His face,

still He found a way in.

I ignored His words,

still He remained by my side.

I took Him for granted,

still He stood by me.

I then remembered Him,

and there He was with open arms.

I begged Him to forgive me,

and that He did.

Despite already knowing,

that I’d repeat the same thing.

I placed Him aside,

focusing on other things.

Pushing Him away slowly,

unknown to my silly self.

I spat in His face,

still He listened to my cries.

I meddled in my past struggles,

still He didn’t say a word.

I forgot about Him most nights,

still He remembered to wake me up each morning.

I ran away from His presence,

still He chased after me.

I shut my door against His face,

still He found a way in.

I ignored His words,

still He remained by my side.

I took Him for granted,

still He stood by me.

I then remembered Him,

and there He was with open arms.

Even with my repeated cycle,

He never stopped loving me.

Till the last 29th of the year,

He still cared.

I know it’s been almost two weeks since I last posted, sigh. I’m evil I know lol. No excuses though, at least I’m here now.

Merry Christmas to everyone(even though it’s late), I wish you all a Happy new year(cause I know I’ll see you in 2021).
