The One Where It’s My Birthday!

Hey guys! Yes, this is the one where it’s my birthday!🥳🥳

I’m 18 if you’re wondering by the way.

It doesn’t feel like I actually aged up though, cause I’d still pick Spongebob over some action movie.

So yeah my birthday started with Sunday service and then washing my toilet and bathroom because I didn’t do that yesterday lol.

Do I have any plans for my birthday as at now?

We’ll get to how my day went later though, let’s read some of my amazing birthday wishes I got so far. I’ll just pick a few of them though. Please ignite any of their errors thank you😌.

Dearest Glory Morgan:

Writing this epistle for you brings me so much joy that i may even cry. Where do i start from sef. First you are simply amazing not just because you are omo January but you don’t pretend, you are cheerful, you are sweet and beautiful…..so many reasons of how amazing you are but then i rather start from the beginning🥰

I met you in Mtu when i was sent to join Foundation class which i wasn’t happy about. Before joining the class i heard lot of things about Foundation girls that made me not to like the class at all. So i joined fully second semester or so, going to class to seat and use wifi all day was frustrating cos sometimes we don’t have class but you come to class, you hardly talk to anyone nd u just read ur note and in my mind i was like “She is so serious”. I didn’t for once think that we would be friends cos i thought u were a snub but later i started laughing at the way you give savage answers to Foundation 2 guys cos u don’t take nonsense. It was cute and fun. Then i was looking for notes then someone said i should ask u cos u write a lot, at first i was shy but i went to ur room nd you weren’t there so i gave up until later we started talking but just as class mate.

Until we got home for lockdown, that were the gist started from😁.

Creating group for Foundation 2 classes brought us kinda close. Attending online classes was fun because i had Glory to answer all the questions especially in Mrs Anana class nd Crs. Sometimes when i can’t make it to class it you i always tell to write note for me nd u do the same sometimes. And that how we bonded😍🥺.

Found out she was a writer and she has a blog nd she found out i was a writer. And she became my wonderful editor and English teacher.

Meeting again in school for exam was the best. Even tho it was short i had the best time ever. Seeing you in the hostel that day and running to hug you (a lot was running thru my head, “what if she doesn’t like it”, “what if she doesn’t like me physically just on WhatsApp”, what if…..) But i hugged u after all regardless of what u would think. I don’t know why i was excited but i was just so happy.

I remember how she forced me to read, omo i never read that like that in my life. She would stay in my room to read and give me book too🥺🥺 when sleep is catching me i can’t sleep cos Glory is there. And later on we gist😎(that was my favorite part).

I can go on and on but seriously Gigi words can’t quantify the gratitude i have in my heart towards u.

You showed me i could be a different person.

You taught me that if i determine i can pass my exam.

You taught me how friendships are like to the extent that i get jealous when ever she leaves me and go to her people upstairs 😩🤗.

I loved spending my whole day with you.

And when i was leaving school after our last paper i was sad cos u were with me till i left. I wished i could have waited till they came to pick u but i couldn’t. Saying bye to you guys especially u was hurtful🥺 cos i wasn’t sure i would see u again.

I thank God that i had the opportunity to have met u and to be a good friend to u. I always wonder, who won’t want to be friends with you?

But am grateful you gave me the chance to be my self with you. With you i can play and not care at all.

You taught me maturity isn’t just about the age, it about the mindset.

She will be looking at me when i will be bullying my room mates (playfully o) nd she will be laughing but i dare not do that to her (sometimes she can be scary o)😅

Thank you so much for all you do.

Now it’s been 10yrs or so since we first spoke, who would have thought that we’ll still be in speaking terms even though you decided to ghost for like 6yrs or so🤠. Okay I’m good now. It’s time to reveal the answers to my birthday quiz!

1. My full name is…. Morgan Glory lol. I know some people want to know my middle names, you’ll have to wait till the end😉.

5. As for the hardest question lol, only my siblings would even know this😂. My favorite advert is the *737* something for Guaranty trust bank. I mean, those guys made a whole song just to advertise that code 😂. I love that song mehnn. You should listen to it on YouTube, it’s called 737 Moments.
