Drifting Apart

Have you ever felt like He’s so far away? Or like He doesn’t want to hear from you again? The truth is God never drifts away from you. The separation is always on our part. He’s unchangeable and remains steadfast even when we don’t. Even in our unfaithfulness, He remains faithful.

I was once worried about how He’s not listening to me again and how He’s angry with me over something. Then this day came when I decided to fast and I noticed that throughout the day I didn’t feel hungry as I kept reading His word. Yeah some people might not get this, but for me, that was His way of saying that I’m still here strengthening you with my words, even though you have such thoughts at heart.

God never causes the drift so don’t ever think for once that He’s staying away from you. It’s either you’re doing it consciously by ignoring Him and placing things above Him or you’ve unconsciously committed a sin that caused the separation. As you know, our God is a Holy One who cannot behold sin. So you might have to search yourself and find out what’s causing this separation you feel.

It’s been four months since I met Him and there has been downs on my part but definitely not on His. It’s not abnormal to make faults so don’t condemn yourself totally when you do. He remembers our frame and knows that we are dust.

Once you feel like you’re drifting away, go back to Him quickly, ignoring any thoughts of “He won’t forgive me.” Because He definitely will as He never chides or keeps His anger forever.

But if you decide to continue drifting away, your life will be worse than it was earlier, before you met Him. Don’t keep digging deeper into sin but climb out while you still can.

“And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life.”(2 Peter‬ ‭2:20-21‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Go back to Him now and don’t drift away completely ❤️😭.

He’s waiting for YOU.

The next minute might be too late, you have now, to take advantage of. Why wait? Be saved!

So, once again it’s my anniversary with Him and I still don’t regret making this decision❤️.
